Elizabeth Esguerra Castillo
Elizabeth Esguerra Castillo is a multi-awarded International Author/Poet and International Visual Artist from the Philippines. She is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Management in Philippine School of Business Administration and another course, Computer Programming at the Systems Technology Institute. An International Author of 2 books "Seasons of Emotions" published in the UK last 2013 and "Inner Reflections of the Muse" last 2014 and a co-author to less than 200 international anthologies, she pursued the Visual Arts just 2021 although some of her artworks were already featured in international anthologies since 2011. She considers herself a self-taught artist with her works leaning toward abstract expressionism and surrealism. Elizabeth believes that art heals psychologically, mentally, spiritually, and physically. She likes experimenting on her pieces which are all absolutely authentic as she also coins herself as an Intuitive Artist. From her cascade of exquisite artworks, one can immerse himself into a dreamy realm. Surreal paintings that can take you to different worlds. Almost all of her paintings were done at the spur of the moment as if her hand has a mind of its own and guides the brushstrokes to create masterpieces. She strongly believes that “Art shows us not just perfection but to discover imperfections and find the collateral beauty behind it.” Elizabeth uses recycled materials to give texture and life to her works. She also wants her art pieces to be socially relevant like her “Earth Theme” and “Climate Change” Series of works. Through her art, she wants to inspire others to protect the Earth and help reverse the effects of climate change. Her paintings were first featured in both local and international art exhibitions such as the MAE- Movimiento de Arte Emergente in Mexico City, Studio de Arte Contemporanea in Bologna, Italy, Delphian Art Gallery in London, Luan Emotional Museum in Mexico City, Mexico, Luna Galleria Philippines, “Transmission”International Art Exhibition, Art Show Philippines, and “Mujeres del Artes 4” All Women Art Exhibition on display last 2022 at LeBlanc Hotel and Resort in her city, Antipolo City, Philippines organized by ARTipolo Group. Elizabeth was also a Participating Artist in an outdoor art exhibition with Siderta proyektos del Arte in Lima Peru in Festival del Solsticio. Her works were also exhibited in Chile, Hungary, Brazil, and Turkey. In the International Art Congress in Argentina, she was the representative of the Philippines as one of the Artistas Plasticas last September 2022. She was given a “Rising Star Award” for her painting “Tres Mujeres” in the Talentila Foundation India’s Online Art Exhibition in observance of the International Women’s Month last March 2022. She was also a Participating Artists at the Pakistan Contemporary Art Festival and Exhibition. Elizabeth was a Participating Artist in the Busan International Art Festival BIAF 2022 held in Busan, South Korea with her award-winning painting "Flipper" garnering a Bronze Award. The same artpiece won a Gold Award given by International Kalaratnam Art Society of India. Her Elizabeth's most recent international aet exhibition was "Celebrate Life International Art Exhibition and Auction" held at the St. Michael's Parish in Livermore, San Francisco, California, USA last January 2023. She was also a Participating Artist at the recently-concluded "Sining Taktak" in celebration of National Arts Month 2023 held at Hinulugang Taktak Nature and Adventure Park in Antipolo City last February 25-26, 2023. Her works will be featured in Neoma Galleria Philippines, "Transmission 2" and in "Mujeres del Artes 4" All-Women Group Art Exhibition this coming March 2023 which was also organized by ARTipolo. Elizabeth is a member of GAPI, and a Philippine-based art group, ARTipolo Group, and Fantapia International Art Group based in South Korea. She is also advocating for the promotion of The Creative Arts as therapy in neurophatic pain management and had her works exhibited in Paintingsph on Instagram. She is currently studying "Charting the Avant-Garde: From Romanticism to Utopic Abstraction" at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Elizabeth has her own art brand “Art Heals by Elizabeth Esguerra Castillo” and offers commissioned paintings to clients. Her most recent physical art exhibitions: "Pintura" Group Art Exhibit which opened last August 21, 2022 at LeBlanc Hotel and Resort in Antipolo City, Philippines last August and "Pakig-angay 2.0 In the Province of Rizal" Joint art exhibition of ARTipolo and Baghid which opened last September 3, 2022 at The Blanco Art Gallery in Angono Rizal, Philippines. Elizabeth was also a Participating Artist in the 3rd International Art Congress International Art Exhibition organized by the International Network of Dance and Art Institutions (INDAI) in cooperation with Art World based in Argentina. She is also a Participating Artist in the Panorama International Arts Festival based in Greece which will have its inauguration this September 2022.
